SYSDOC – IT Documentation System
Developed for use by Digicel Dominica
SYS-DOC is a web-based IT Documentation application used to maintain accurate and up-to-date information for equipment running on a network. Developed by Sergi Joseph using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as a MySQL database, SYS-DOC can be used to keep records of equipment, including but not limited to: servers, switches, routers, firewalls, etc. SYS-DOC also includes a knowledge base feature which allows users to document network architecture, system configurations, how-to’s and troubleshooting guides for specific tasks. With SYS-DOC, users can also keep logs of changes made to equipment as well as document network connections between equipment.
Launch New IPTV System
Digicel Group
Collaborated with Group Technical teams & vendors to launch new IPTV system and migrated legacy equipment to operate on new IPTV platform.
The scope of this project included:
– Providing technical support for integration between billing system and IPTV CMS to manage customer services and devices.
– Testing of Set Top Box firmware and app versions to identify bugs.
– Creating process flow for migration and completing migration of legacy devices to new IPTV system for five markets.
T-Shoot
Developed for use by Digicel Dominica
T-Shoot is a web-based application created by developer Sergi Joseph using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as a MySQL database. A cron job is also used to periodically import data into the database from a CSV file pulled from an SFTP location. T-Shoot’s main feature is to graphically display and monitor service calls reported by customers and provide troubleshooting guides for the technical team to resolve customer issues. The application also features a RAG rating system to highlight urgency levels of Service Calls’ statuses based on the initial date reported to ensure SLAs are met.
Transition – HFC to FTTH

Project Managed the IT activities associated with the company’s transition from HFC to FTTH network.
The scope of this project included:
– Planning and managing the rollout of IT infrastructure to the support the FTTH services.
– Development of processes to support service delivery and customer technical support
– Training of staff in multiple markets on how to operate BSS & OSS systems and following process flows.
ModStat
Developed for use by SAT Telecommunications Ltd
Developed by Sergi Joseph, ModStat is a web-based application used by Network Administrators and Field Technicians to monitor nodes and cable modems on the Digicel HFC Network.
The front-end of ModStat was built mainly using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript; while the back-end was built by incorporating a Linux cron job to run a C++ script, which retrieved modem data from a CMTS and stored this data in a MySQL database. The data was displayed on the web interface in tables, graphs and charts to allow a holistic view of the network status. This tool was essential for network operators to monitor network statistics and identify outages in real time.
Transition – Analogue to Digital TV Service

Supported the company’s transition from analogue HFC TV to digital HFC TV service as IT Project Manager and lead developer.
This project’s scope included the following activities:
– Executed IT infrastructure changes to support the new Digital TV service
– Integrated additional functionality into the CRM/Billing system to support Digital TV service
– Created procedures and processes to support service delivery for new Digital TV service
– Trained staff to operate new Digital TV systems
Redesigned CRM/POS System
SAT Telecommunications Ltd
One of my first initiatives after joining the company was to optimize the company’s CRM/POS system. This legacy system was built using PHP, HTML and CSS while a MySQL database was used to store data.
Key activities included documenting the entire system structure and refactoring code as well as implementing additional functionality. The front-end was also redesigned to improve user experience and functionality.
This initiative improved system security, increased efficiency of customer account management and reduced opportunities for revenue leakage.
SATNEWS Website

Designed and maintained the news website for the company’s media department.
– The website was built using WordPress CMS with a customized theme to meet the company’s design requirements.
– Implemented the process flow used by reporters to publish news articles.
– Maintained the back-end of the website, ensuring security, performing regular backups and maintain uptime.
